Does the laminate top have to be custom made to be deep enough to fit over machines?

Yes, we did have to customize the counter top to fit over the machines.

Do want same as the picture do need sink if not you can get laminate counters from hardware store and if too long just measure where want it and im am sure they will cut it for you rent saw store or borrow from a neighbour.
