My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
I'm replacing an under cabinet vent hood over my cooktop. Currently the electrical wire drops down into the cabinet from the attic and then down into the vent hood. The romex in the cabinet is not protected, but shouldn't it be so that it doesn't get nicked by items that get stored in the cabinet?
NM requires protection if subject to physical damage. Most things you could put in a cabinet aren't likely to damage the wiring, but if you think it could you're free to put it in conduit.
