Kitchen Light on a Dimmer

18 years ago

I have a ceiling light with 4 romex wires(4 netrual, 4 Hot, 4 Ground) coming into it and a box on the wall with one ground, white, and black. Everytime I hook up the wires it A) throws the breaker B)is on when the switch is off what am I missing?
