contrast lighting potlights technical question

Hi,

I had a kitchen reno done and had few pot lights installed by a licensed electrician (in Canada), and it was inspected.

I had a look at the pot lights housing, trims and bulbs installed, and I'm a bit worried.

So, here is what's installed:

housing: Contrast Lighting CA2000D model.

trim: T2000

bulb: Halogen Par 16, 120V, 50W (screw type).

Looking at Contrast Lighting website, the CA2000D housing is rated for Par 20, 120V, 50W max. Looking at the T2000 trim, it says it goes with other housing type, and not the CA2000D. For the CA2000D, I have to use the D2000 trim.

and Finally, the bulb the electrician installed is Par 16,not Par 20.

My question is, is there a hazard using Par 16 bulbs in a housing rated for Par 20? I'm just a bit confused why the electrician chose these 3 combination where the manufacturer site recommends other combination?

Thanks.
