Need help with complementing granite

I have what seems to be rosa porrino granite for my kitchen counter. The house came with it. Is this pinkish granite out of style? I would like to keep it to save money but want to make the kitchen look updated. What color should I use for cabinets and backsplash that make it look better?

Try soft gray for cabinets. And a black subway backsplash. Use brush nickel pulls.

You are lucky to have inherited a granite you can work with. I inherited a much pinker one - see photo.

I painted my cabinets cream and tiled the bs cream, and it made a world of difference.

Granite whether one would choose it or not is a durable and expensive stone. It's worth trying to work with if you can

I agree with the previous poster - gray cabinets are very "in" right now. And I think they would work very well with your granite.
