Kitchen Backsplash Suggestions

Hi everyone!

I am trying to help my Father-in-law pick out some backsplash for his kitchen. He recently moved into this place, and I know at the time, is not interested in changing his countertops or cabinets. He is trying to find something that will work well with what he already has, but I am not quite sure. I'll attach a few photos that he sent me. I believe all of his appliances are stainless, and the paint color is neutral.

How about a simple subway tile in a very light gray or tan glass? Or, similar in porcelain?

Looks like grays or tans would be your best bet. Either subway or a muted mosaic.

My vote is for the grey subway tile!

Gray is a huge trend right now and with the classic subway tile we agree that would be a great option. If you want to keep going with the update painting the cabinets white would look amazing! Good luck with your project!

I disagree strongly with gray. I think white is the way to go. It'll bring out the flecks in the counters and also be a nice, fresh, bright pop.
