Good question! The dogs jump right up in there. We were thinking of adding a ramp, but it wasn't necessary.

Thanks for your reply. My Labs are older and wouldn't be able to jump up or down, maybe a side by side style. Love the room, though!

Sorry. Wouldn't put my dog in a cupboard in the mudroom or laundry room. But I'm from California, where dogs are pets and companions.....

Have you never heard of dog crates. I’m from CA and my lab loved being in her crates. Her space.

Dogs really should be part of the family. I see no sense in crating them or putting them in a cabinet. Oh by the way I’m not from California

Sometimes it’s necessary to confine pets temporarily. For illness, injury, to keep them safe for their sake or the family.
These custom crates obviously are not meant to house these pooches all the time, but for temporary confinement. Crating is a good tool if used properly. Obviously, in this instance it is.

Dogs love "dog caves" -- its a wonderful choice for them when they want to escape your attention and have some time off.

Not good for the dogs joints to jump down frequently, especially that height! Well known that daxis should be dissuaded from jumping!
