What affect does an outlet like this have on the cabinets underneath?

I am going to be using three of these in my new kitchen and I want to understand what is the affect that this outlet will have underneath. If there is a drawer will it have to be shorter, or if there is a cabinet underneath will the back box be exposed in the cabinet?

We typically build a wall behind the cabinets to put these outlets in so the cabinets are not impacted

Can this be used in a counter top installation so as to meet code? I have a long run of windows where there is no room for outlets as the glass almost touches the counter top.

Yes. We have done the exact same thing in kitchen islands.

Absolutely. Not only will it meet code for a run of windows, but It will met National Electrical Code for counter top use in both the USA and Canada.
