Another backsplash help needed plea!

Here is a pic of the pearl Allen and Roth on my counter. We bought a few boxes and DH was set to install and now I'm freaking out and think maybe I should play it safe with gloss white or white glass tile. My cabinets are white shaker and counters are busy should I play it safe? Anyone have pics of their colored tile with white cabinets and busy counters? Dh said to go get more samples to make a decision, so I'm going today. I will post pics later of other choices.

Agreed. You can't get a true picture of it this way.

Just first impressions I think it looks fantastic but I do agree you need to take a pic of the tile on the wall before deciding for sure!!

I like it! But it would be nice to see them vertically with the cabinets and counters.

We glued some tile to a piece of cardboard and screwed it to the wall...it gave us a better idea of what it would look like. It sounds like you have enough tile to do this, maybe it would help?

I think it's beautiful. Ceramic tile has so much more presence than glass. It's also much easier to deal with in a DIY situation. And I think the color of the ceramic you've chosen is fantastic. You can go ahead with a mock up and look at it in the vertical plane in your own kitchen lighting, but I think you're going to love it.

Thanks here is another shot with a true white on left, pearl in middle and creamier white to right. I bought white glass tile also but that was a deffinate no, just didn't go.

Dh is still voting for the Pearl however he hasn't seen them in person yet just the pics I sent him.

Pearl, for sure!! (PS, That was a front-runner for my backsplash... I thought it was just gorgeous, with the subtle shading and color-but-neutral. I think it will be beautiful.)

Do you know the name of the granite you used? Is it Giallo Ornamental? I love it!!

The pearl looks fabulous. Go for it. I think the whites are a bit too safe. I don't the pearl is "out there" at all. It will really tie everything together!

The pearl has the wow factor that neither of the white tiles has. You'll be very happy with it!

I have the Allen and Roth tiles in Fawn color. My granite is busy and cabs are medium brown. They are beautiful! I say go for the Pearl, you won't regret it!

Definitely the pearl. The white would be boring, the pearl is just right, and so pretty!

Thank you for all your comments the Pearl has won hands down! I feel better having so many opinions and ruling out the white. My hd is very happy since he started cutting some already.

Please post pics when it's done, I'm sure we all want to see it!

You made a great choice. We have the Pearl in 4x12 and it looks good with both stained and white painted cabinets.
