I bought a singe hung, can I use it as a slider?!!

I goofed, thought it wouldn't matter, but now I care.... This is a craft guest room project and this window is in the kitchenette looking on to a great backyard with huge trees so I don't want to look directly at the divider between the 2 panes. If I turn it horizontally, I see thru two 22"W x 36"T sections. The hubby is ready for install! Please help!!!!

Sure you could hang sideways but a couple things to consider. Your window should have weep holes located at the outside bottom. They will now be non functional. There will be the track and hardware located on the bottom vs a clean sill. The window may be harder to open as it was designed to travel up and down not sideways. And no drainage of rain water it will sit in the side track.

We have weep holes on all sides collecting equally! There is a spring to help the window slide which is stiff closing (and very fast opening), but I can work with that. Thank you!!!
