If you use a humongous piece, like the sculpture, you can hang it high, otherwise, like the pictures on the wall on the right, hand the art at eye level. We have 14 ft ceilings, and don't hang anything above a 10 ft imaginary horizontal line on the wall. That way the art can be seen. Full disclosure, I hate gallery walls, where lots of pictures and stuff gets close together, and don't do them in my home, but if that's the look you want, someone else may have advice for you.
