I like the idea of a cream trim , but not as yellow as the one now. If you go with a cream trim & shutters, the black door would look beautiful. The cream color will also open up the windows.
I also like the idea of gray/blue shutters with the cream trim, but you have to be very careful when choosing grays/blues. If you can find a few color samples and post them, we can give our opinion.
I agree with claudiann, removing the bushes would make the front area look larger, I would fill up that space with rocks & maybe a standing fountain if it is in your budget. You can add color by putting potted plants on both sides of the door with seasonal flowers.
I think you have a great porch! Not much needs to be done to spruce it up. The porch is long and inviting and I love the separated concrete slabs leading to the front door.
If you budget allows, then you can add a modern front door, would be nice, maybe yellow door sounds fun as fuzzyferretblue mentioned. Good luck!
