Got the most Awesome box from Shirley today. I love everything. Several things from my want list. I've had variegated Solomon Seal on my want list for a long time. Hope it grows well here. I just discovered this year how much I like Westbourne daylilies when we went to Delano Daylily farm and I bought an unregistered one, then googled all of their daylilies. They are so beautiful and hard to find. Thank you so much for sending so many of my favorites.

My package is shipped but it was quite the adventure due to my procrastination. Today was the valley marathon and only crazy people go out before 2 on days like this. By the time I got to the post office, it was closed, so that meant a drive to the Ogden post office. I did make it there in time, but it's right next to Lowes and guess who was having a plant clearance. Did I need more? No. But I bought a bunch of rudbeckia and daisies anyway. Garden shovel here it comes!

While this month is ending and our swap is just about done I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the new games I tried. I didnt really have many entries for most of them. Were they too easy, too hard, too time consuming,( I understand some dont have the time with work/life etc) For those who played did you enjoy them? I tried not to make them too easy, but also tried not to make them too hard. But I had to keep in mind that we are a group of garden lovers and a lot of us know a lot of flower/plant etc information. Annie, I understand and agree with how you feel about not getting your end of a swap.

It happens sometimes, but we don't expect it to happen in these RR closed group swaps.

I finally got my OBF August box in October, minus 3 of the 10 items it was supposed to have. The one item I really wanted was the Moringa seeds and they were not included in the box. Lucky for me a generous Texas gardener shared his seeds with me.

Let me know if I have anything on my list you would like and I'd be happy to send it.

As I said, I will survive if I do not receive a gift basket or anything else for that matter...LOL! Very kind of you to offer me anything off your list.....but you need not do that. Nikki (cinnie..), our September host, wanted to send me something and I told her no..... it really does not take care of the problem.

I do feel when someone signs up for a swap, RR closed or not, they should honor their commitment. I also know and understand that things come up, unfortunate circumstances arise and the swap can not be carried out/they need to drop out. In that case, I am 100% cool with someone backing out....but they better communicate that to their partner and the group. This matter of people sending their swap several weeks late....or not at all.....no communication, one way or the other.....disappearing.....and then, as in your case, not receiving what you were supposed to receive is BS. Total BS!!

Ruth, I am curious, did you receive any explanation from Wild Hair Mavens as to why you were shorted 3 of the items you were supposed to receive????

No, Connie didn't mention anything about not sending everything on her list. The items she didn't send were the Moringa seeds, cuttings and statue. I was surprised that she sent anything after all that time and no communication.
