What colors should I paint my home?

We are buying this home on substantial acreage and I really want to update the late 50's look to the farmhouse chic look. I was planning on using bm Swiss coffee on the brick and painting the shutters ice burg or quiet moments and then get a new door in a stained wood color with big windows- and of course pulling out those metal hand rails in front. Any other ideas for great paint colors?

11 years agoI think it's important to have reasonable expectations of paint. This house doesn't look anything like the houses in your ideabook. You should be aware of the additional work (on top of painting) involved to try and make your house look like this.

I agree with WBrown.....you're more likely to end up with this. Your color scheme will bring out the pink in your roof.
