I built our dining room table this last weekend and finished staining today. The color is Minwax Ebony, a blackish brown. Tomorrow is time for the polyurethane and there is my dilemma. I have a lot of effort in this and it looks great so far... I don't want to ruin it with the finish.

I see the oil and water based poly's and different variations... Help! I'm looking for a good quality and tested poly. I appreciate the feedback!
