A 'get to know Erica' question.

Erica, I have had to completely give away every plant and seed I owned 4 seperate times over the last 30 years. It was tough. I cried!

If you had to move and only take 3 plants or seed varieties with you, what would they be?

Oh, holy crap. Must be that I died and went to hell, as there is no other way I would accept that arrangement. Lol.

Hopefully this is the def of "variety" that you're referring to, as it's also often used to refer to cultivars: "A variety will have an appearance distinct from other varieties, but
will hybridize freely with those other varieties (if brought into
    contact)."

I guess my first obvious choice would be my citrus trees. I have a lemon and orange tree that are both around 40 years old and probably irreplaceable, as well as a newbie lime. My next choices were harder. I couldn't figure out a clean way to get my medicinal herbs in there, so I guess I'll have to go with tomatoes for my second choice and peppers for my third. I love tomatoes and peppers and devote a lot of my garden space to them, also, I have a large variety of seeds for each.

    Wow. That sounds awesome!

I'm a little boring..orange jeans, and a skull designed shirt. I do get to wear it every weekend in October during my festivals..when we don't get rained out! We've had almost 8 inches in the last 2 weeks.. A bit soggy, for sure.

Lora -- Send some of that rain my way. We were sunny and in the 80s yesterday. I'd be happy to trade.

Debby -- Your package arrived today! Thank you so very much. I've already planted the asiatic lilies and Mother of Thousands.

Debby sent seasonal decorations, candle, cookbook, 2 garden tools, miracle grow starter pots, a blue pot (yes, I see containers and think "pot"), asiatic lilies that were growing roots already, Mother of Thousands cuttings, and a whole bunch of seeds. I'm about to dig into those shortly, but I'm making lasagna for dinner, so I'm multi-tasking like crazy right now. I did want to hop on and post my thank you though!

    Erica,

It says my box was delivered today to your porch? If you could check on that...would appreciate it!

Laura -- I went out to double check and it turns out yours was delivered, as well! It must have come separately, sometime after our first round of mail. Thank you for letting me know. About to have dinner, but I will open the box and post pictures after dinner!

Laura -- I couldn't stand the suspense. I ended up opening your box before dinner. =P Thank you so much. I absolutely love it.

(no idea why it's posting sideways)

Laura sent 2 handmade soaps, 3 bars of yummy chocolate, a hardcover notebook for writing + bookmark, a cooling scarf, garden gloves, a fabulous assortment of seeds, a rooted Little Brother Montgomery Begonia, Velt Grape, and huge turmeric plant.

Erica, did you receive my message? Did you find the succulent in the wrapping?

Gah! I typed out a big long message to you, in reply, but looks like I might have forgotten to hit "send" or I did and my message simply disappeared into oblivion.

Anyhow, I did get your message. I am so happy that you told me about that, because I had completely overlooked it, but there it was, all wrapped up in the bottom of the box. Again, thank you so much for the wonderful pack you sent! Sorry that second message didn't go through.

? Rex Begonia Can you keep it going inside in winter or do you need to let it be dormant, after frost nip ... like amarhyllis?? Mary E.

My Little Brother Montgomery? It's my favorite! I have several in ground as they are hardy in my zone. I also have one potted that is outside in warm weather, then I just bring in and it does super as a houseplant as well. Does not need to go dormant. Laura

Faye -- I received your fantastic box today!

Faye sent 4 plants (Golden Seal, Elephant Ears, Calla Lily, Cactus Bulbs), a grow bag, plant labels, potpouri, chocolate, thermometer, dishtowel and mit, green garden tape, and 4 packs of seeds (gotta love something named "Drunk Butterfly")! I'm super excited about that Golden Seal. That's something I've wanted for awhile now.

I do have one question. What are Cactus Bulbs? I looked online and found cactus dahlia, but that was about it. I know you mentioned a small white flower. Any other info, or even a picture, would be great!

Thank you for such a wonderful box. :)
