The lighter would be my choice as well. It is pretty close to what you have now. Just curious why you are changing it? With kids and dogs it might be okay to keep the old?

The lighter wood flooring will look great! I like the cream subway but would like to see some other options. possibly a glass mosaic tile that brings out some of the colors in the granite counter top. Here is an example of a glass mosaic.

I think the cream glass subway tiles would look great! You typically want to use the lightest color in your granite to match with so it doesn't take away from the granite or blend together.

Hi Rose, I have considered all of the element shown in your photos, cabinets, new flooring, granite and so on.... This tile would look very nice as your kitchen back splash. I found this tile on Houzz by shopping for glass mosaic tile.

Rose, trust me--you do not want a busy backsplash with your granite. It has so much going on that a mosaic will not look good even if it is technically a perfect match.

Also, if you go for a tile backsplash you should strongly consider removing the 4 inch backsplash out of your counter material or your result could look like this...

Whether you prefer a clean and simple back splash or bolder pattern is a personal preference. On this kitchen remodel we used a detailed woven aqua glass and imperiador dark marble combination back splash with granite counter tops and my client and everyone that sees the kitchen loves it.
