Electrical issues again

I need a lil advice. I just had the breaker box in my house replaced. But the lights keep flickering and getting brighter. So I called the electrical company. They said they had to turn the power to my house off at the pole because I had a bad wire in the meter box. Would the company that changed the breaker inside have known this. About how much would this wiring work cost? And should I have my whole house rewired? Thanks for any advice.

Did the POCO open and inspect the meter box or just diagnose it over the phone?

The cost for a new service entry cable depends on several factors so a local electrician could give a better estimate after looking at your house.

He opened it. And left the meter on the ground. I have an electrician on the way to my house. Hopefully he will be trurhful. But the power company said its on me as the homeowner. So I have another electrician coming also. But they want money just to come out and look. :(
