We had to dig deeper than planned to get to solid ground for the foundation of our new home. The silver lining is that we now have a bonus room we didn't have in-plan. It will be in the basement under the garage, with no windows. The basement will have 1 egress window but main access will be from stairs that lead to main floor. The space is 20X20. Rest of basement: main room: a large TV and sectional / card games / foosball. Man cave, computer/craft room, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom). Laundry is on 2nd floor. My question is - what would you do with this new found space? How would you use it? Would you keep it 1 larger room or subdivide?
