JoAnn's isn't close for me so I don't have a problem, but the last few times I was there, it was very disappointing. My machines like the thread from Connecting Threads and I have enough that I'll probably not have to buy any ever again. But, it's similar to fabric for me.......I like looking at it. :-)

Sharon, I've heard good things about the thread from Connecting Threads. I will try some when I need to restock. I have a lot on hand; I was just looking for a variegated brown and cream for my Hunter's Star quilt. :)

I've also ordered from Connecting Threads on a tip from a Quilty Friend. The thread has been of good quality ..given me no problems, so far. The price is right and saves the headache of shopping and gasoline!! The last time I purchased thread in a store, the thread was of such a poor quality that I threw out two brand new spools.

Connecting Threads has a sale on thread right now, also!

Sigh.......that set of Salt Water Taffy thread sure looks yummy. :-)

Oh boy....did someone say thread sale? My machine and I like connecting threads, but I do find it generates more lint in the machine than the other brands.. Anyone else experience this?

I've used both the 'neutral thread set' and the 'old glory' . Have been pretty happy with all of it; sturdy enough so no breaking - i love that! Can't make any statement on lint because I sew lots of baby stuff...minky...ewww....but everyone loves it.
