I have cabbage butterflies too, but I'm afraid their caterpillars may have been eating some of my herbs.

Yes, it's amazing what your garden can support in the way of life once you start planting. What we had in this new-to-us old house was just flat blank yard grass. I'm now happy to see butterflies (although I'm hoping that the Monarch cats don't totally strip all the young asclepias before it can grow)...and this week I have a cute little snake!

It is amazing what a single addition can do to lure butterflies. I planted a Senna/Cassia bicapsularis 'Worley's Butter Cream' a few years ago. During the summer, every time I walk by, I can count at least 6 Sulphur butterflies flittering around it. They fly through other parts of the garden now too.

Oh, I had that one on my last property...loved it so much...wonder if I can find room here for a couple...LOL...
