You have a neutral scheme, and may add any colour you like. I think your current print pillows might stay,and would suggest trading the origami style for something more organic and textural - mongolian lamb, rough linen, etc.

If budget allows, rethink the coffee table in either a DIY distress, or at replacing it, as well as the side lamp. Your ideabooks have good examples for each. Best of luck w your project.

There are a TON of options that would allow you to accomplish the rustic look you are going for. Depending on your budget, if it's on the low end, I think that swapping out the pillows with some fur and cowhide ones would do the job. As for the walls, it could be as simple as replacing the mirror and candles with a large canvas print that have been posted so far. I love the shelf look, but I agree that you would need to be judicious in terms of the items that you would place on them regarding clutter, etc. I do think something larger on the main back wall would help make the space seem larger and taller. You could also accomplish this by swapping to a large rustic frame mirror. If you have some change to spare, I would recommend changing to a hide rug of some sort (the one I have shown I have in my place and I absolutely love it!). If you have more than just some change to spare, then yes, the tables could be the next items to either refinish or change up completely. I hope the picture I attached helps you out! Sorry, but I don't agree with adding a larger plain mirror behind the sofa. Can be very off putting to people in the room. Mirrors should either add sparkle or trick the eye into thinking the space is larger than it is.

Floor to ceiling mirror is a way to make the space appear larger. A Sunburst mirror or a mirror with antque glass could add sparkle to a room. But a plain glass mirror tends to reflect the wrong things in a room.
