One more thing… I thought of this last night. What if I went with a really small tiny tile like they did in the 50s... kind of keep it authentic? What would you all think of that? And what color would I use ...white? Or bring in some of the tangerine

You are going to pay a lot to get that color into your floor -- you can't use glass, which is where a lot of colored mosaics come from -- and I don't think it will be worth it, especially if you think someday you will gut and redo. I'd go with white, and embrace your color (and/or some contrasting bright tones) via the shower curtain, rug, and accents you choose.

These flower power and other 50s to 70s curtains are great. I would have suggested a sort of octagonal shape field tile - white or cream, but sheet vinyl if bath will be remodeled. Needs brightness. Love many of the shower curtain suggestions. They truly integrate what she's got.

I would stick with a small white tile: a small hex, square or penny round. There are companies that still make 50’s-60’s style tiles in a mosaic pattern mixing sizes of white tiles, too. Check tiles by “Affinity” (at Build.com) for some ideas and retro style patterns. Basketweaves, rectangular basketweaves, too. Affinity’s Collegiate, Scholar, and Academy styles might work. Keep it simple and white. Let your beautiful wall tile be the star! Good luck!
