Marble is a porous stone...and will stain, and get discolored over time, especially in a bathroom. If your decision is to use Marble, anyway, I would advise using polished marble on the walls. Polished is less porous than honed..and will stain less than honed would, IMO. The polished marble walls will also be more wipeable than honed. I hope this helps.

I have honed marble mosaic in my tub/shower surround. It is white and grey. We sealed it after the install and I vowed to maintain it well. After showering, I squeegee it (although it does not behave like ceramic tile) and the wipe it down with a towel. Yes it takes a few more minutes but I decided if I was going to have high-end finishes, I was going to have to maintain them. They look brand new.

It’s probably been months since you posted the question. Sorry. Didn’t think to check back. My husband sealed the marble so I couldn’t tell you. We bought it at Floor and Decor so I’m guessing the sealer came from there also. I don’t use any cleaner on it. I just wipe it down with a towel to keep the tiles from water etching.
