Adjusting the clock....

It's an age old question, but I'm my grandparents just purchased this... I am no genius but I know how to set a clock... and I'm just lost on this one folks. Working on several different patterns of recognition with the clock like button (which I imagine is a default timer) and nothing... I have the colon flashing as if It is awaiting input of the time... still lost. Touching to the left and right of the time itself seems to have some effect but when I ended up past 24 hours I knew this was no longer a function for setting the clock. .

Sorry for the long drawn out response for such a simple answer, but I wanted to ensure the audience I have tried many things....

(In the end I know this one is gonna be a no brainer)
