Island lighting

Hi all, I'm struggling with island lighting choice! One big round light vs. row of lights. We only have one electrical opening in the ceiling so that narrows my choices for smaller individual pendant lights. Any ideas!!!
Also kitchen is attached to family room, with a big brown sectional leather couch. I was thinking of possibly going with a dark brown fixture.
I appreciate any suggestions, thank you

Look under island lighting and you'll find plenty of options.

I would do a linear chandelier to add length. Beautiful room.

I'd go simple on the pendants. And don't worry that you have a single junction box in the ceiling; an electrician can make anything you choose work.

We had only one junction box above our island and we wanted three pendent lights. We went to a big box store and explained what we wanted and we were shown a track that you put on the ceiling and the pendants hang from that. Looks sort of like the last light fixture Beverly had a picture of.

We had the same issue with our island, so I put up these lights which main function is task lighting.
