Help! Need to choose flooring & backsplash.

I've been trying to decide for a weeks now and still can't make the final call. I even hired a designer to come help me narrow down to the final few. I would love to hear feedback from all of you experienced, keen eye individuals.

Below are the final flooring and backsplash choices against my blue cabinet under different lighting. Please take a second to submit your vote.

Thanks so much in advance!

    What is your countertop?

yeah, usually one gets the backsplash to match the counter that it's right next to, not the flooring that it's far away from...

I think I like floor sample #3 though.

    B & 1 (or 4).

B has a little more design to it, and the color variation blends better with the cabinetry than the A option.

Floor #1 looks very rich, and shows some tonal variation and warmth. With all the cool colors in this space, I think that wood choice would really balance everything out.

Floor #4 is nice too, but if it were my personal home I'd pick the A-1 combo.

Beautiful color scheme by the way! I love the cabinets!

Personally I would get the floor done, then wait and pick the back splash later - different lighting etc and the overall appearance will not be seen until later.

A with 3, as for the back splash either one will be fine, they are too close to make a real difference. 3 for the flooring works best with the splash and the cabinet

    A-4

I like A, it seems to be a warmer mix with the Counter and Cupboards. I like 3 and 4 and my choice would be lighting/space dependent. I would get really tired of #2 and in current conditions think #4 seems more inviting.

A2 is best with countertop color

    I like B and 4!

Does either backsplash have a frosty green tinge? This one that we used, didn't seem to --

I like the softness of 2A with your cabinets. But the best advice is to put in your floors and counters, then decide on your backsplash. Seeing the full effect of the counters make give you a different look thane expect. Looks lovely so far!

I agree with Gary. The countertop appears to have a yellow undertone especially with the white backsplash. I love flooring 1. Very warm. My friends have dark floors and hate how they show all the dust. Love the color of the cabinets!

The counter is actually not as yellow as the previous lighting, sorry, bad photo. Here are some more better pics. Thank you all for all of your input!

    The one the right

1 Triangle A - I like the matte finish on the backsplash and the richness of the floor. I think B would look just as good though if it ties in better with the adjoining flooring/look.

My heart says darker floor and larger pattern for the drama, but if you have children or pets you'll be a slave to the floor. You're already going there with the counter. So my practical mind says go with warmer and larger.

I'm a little concerned about the tile/counter combo. In the pic with the big counter piece, it looks nice, but in all the other pics, the counter looks too cream for the backsplash choices.

    Another vote for A1

    B, floor 1.

A1 from your first set of pictures. I think a warm toned floor would look great. Good luck! And please post the "after" photos :)

I am familiar with the countertop and it definitely has goldish undertones. Both backsplash choices are too white. There is a possible solution. Try for backsplash that shows combination of whites and more beiges and blue greys. Then you won't have dramatic visual color fight. There are also some pearly surfaces that could bring everything together. Keep looking for backsplash choice. As to the flooring, the blue has grey undertones so the warmer brown choices will be ok, but not as complimentary as the more grayish one. Love the blue cabinets. Might want even lighter floor choice? Not sure of your timing but I think you need a little more shopping! Have fun! Going to be pretty, just trying to provide additional options based on my experience.

Check out on Houzz "products" 12 x 12 Carrara White Mini Versailles Marble tile gold/honed as option for backsplash. It is on sale too. This is example/option that could bridge between cabinets/countertops and whatever flooring you eventually select. It has white/light cream like countertop/darker streaks that look gray/blue.
