They both pull color from the stone...probably the darker one. I'm also wondering if white might look nice.

Since you have no wood anywhere else on the front I would choose a metal and glass railing and before you do that widen the steps before somebodt breaks something coming off that stoop on the left

Chloebud is right. You should paint it white.

I would stain it a dark grey to blend in with your house color, or paint it white to match the trim, but that requires more upkeep.

I suggest the darker stain...you have a very pretty home.

I like the dark one too but the lighter color goes much better with your rock work, now the shutters in the lighter will pull it all together. The lighter still has the darker tone then the rock and looks good not just bland.
