My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Floating shelves

I would like to make floating shelves with steel brackets that can support the weight of a small microwave. Any suggestions for this DIY projects is greatly appreciated. I've attached a photo from Houzz of exactly I'd like to achieve.

    IKEA and other shops like this produce shelves like this in all sorts of colours. You basically have a metal U that you drill into the wall leaving the two spokes out. The shelf is a casing that is hollow on the inside. You slip this over the U bracket. In the US with most drywall you might need to use butterfly fixings(?). In Europe we use a jackhammer and plugs + screw.
