Shoul I hang anything on the wall?

Can you get a small chest and put your tv on it?

I would move the dresser to be centered on the wall. Then I would add a palm or bamboo tree for the corner behind the chair. A couple of candle wall sconces in iron to pick up off the mirror would be nice to add on the other end of the wall hung staggered in that wall space.

Kevin- the wall opposite the dresser is a much shorter wall and the dresser is currently centered with the bed. Will it look ok to center dresser on long wall and not on bed? Love the sconce idea!

Yes I think it would look better to center the dresser on the wall. Unless that will effect your TV viewing. I think it will give the room a better since of balance.

I like the idea of a large plant

The large plant would have to be artificial since this is a vacation house. Would that work?

You could take an old postcard image of the beach from early to mid last century and have it blown up -- huge. If it's a popular beach, you should be able to find lots of old postcards on ebay.

I think Faux plants are great. No green thumb,sun or water needed. LOL I would look for a bamboo or palm tree. Good quality silk plants nearly fool the eye. They can be pricey but are worth it.

So many options! A rustic leaning ladder to hold a towel or shirt. Or, art bought at a local shop or artist, to remind you instantly of what you love about where you are. Large urn in beached washed finish. Some canoe paddles or a surf board from a garage sale. A full length mirror with oversized hooks at the side, like a sexy dressing area at a boutique. A long, dramatic candle sconce for a big, long burning candle.

I agree that the dresser should be move to the center of the wall. If the tv is for viewing, I think that you can leave the tv rather than the mirror, it will be more useful. You could also create a artwork by mounting the tv to the wall and add some nice frames around. For the chair and a plant, here is an idea.

I don't think you need anything on that wall. Not every space must be filled. Sometimes a blank wall is a nice place for the eye to rest.

A piece that's abstract and made of cast iron might look nice. It would have to be something that mimics the shapes in the details on the mirror. It doesn't have to be an exact match; just rounded.
