25 years ago there was a cottage on this empty lot next to my home. Somebody planted a seedling- I remember- and even though the home was demolished and its never gotten a drop of water that isn't rain,and despite the competition of native Sycamores,it survives and fruits. This is a small one. I've seen them on this tree double that size.

I salute this oldish survivor.
