Beautiful Calcutta. Don't you think?

I almost died and went to heaven when I saw this honed slab of Calcutta. But at $160/sq ft. I had to settle for another slab. I chose the polished one for my new kitchen island counters and backsplash. That was $60/sq ft. I also chose the milky white marble to jazz up a master bathroom built with white glassos tiles. Going to run the milky white on one accent wall. And make them into countertops.

That Calacatta (Calcutta is a place in India haha) is beautiful, and actually competitively priced (think of it like shopping for diamonds.. different colors/grades= different prices). Milky white looks amazing!!

no more Calcutta in existence. as Peking became Beijing, Calcutta is now Kolkata and Bombay is Mumbai.

Calacatta marble is from Carrara, Italy.

Yes thanks everyone. My iPhone auto corrects it incorrectly. I'm stuck. Do you think this one has too much gold. This is a for a home in building to sell. It's a spec home. Now everyone has told my husband this slab has too much going on and too gold. It was a great price for us. But now he thinks it's too gold and wants to go to manufactured calacutta. And this is what he wants. The less gold of the 2. I need help. What should I do???

The slab with the gold might be a good price, but would be risky as not all buyers would like it.

@VI Truvian. The first one is Calacutta gold marble. The last one is manufactured calacutta. The first one is $120/sq ft. If we get it for $80/sq. we will take it. The manufactured is $45.

@VI Truvian. That last one was one I was drooling over. That piece was so amazing. That's honed calacutta marble at $160. My husband said NO WAY to that price ! We need 200 sq ft ! So I can't get that last pic. But that was my fav !

@VI TRUVIAN. I'm not sure about Dallas. I only know NY. I like NY Stone. That's where these pics came from. They are in Jersey City. They have a very large area to view all slabs and tiles. Then I choose and send it to a fabricator around me. I like Marble America. But they are in New Rochelle. But these 2 companies I use and trust. I'm sure there are others. Someone may know. I would post a question to find out where you can find amazing slabs.
