I like the look of dark wood floors, cream cabinets, dark wood on the island/peninsula and stone/sand colored counters and walls in many of the kitchen photos. Will that work for a relatively small (12x16) kitchen? What if the wood in the rest of the house (adjacent dining room and hall) is light oak?
