I've never seen rhubarb growing, but I did read that it requires a cold winter and does not do well in zones warmer than 7. What zone are you in, and how cold is your winter?

I've also never eaten rhubard, and I would not know what to do with it. I think I read somewhere that you are not supposed to eat the leaves.

Thanks Robert, I live in Nor California zone 9b. Yeah, can't eat the leaves... plant takes few years to produce thicker stems.
