I thińk it's just personal choice. I quite like the parquet with a border but prefer the planks without. I do however like the thin strips between the planks for an aunthentic look but it does change the budget somewhat

I don't think so. This is a floor which has those design strips between each plank/tile. If you were considering using those I'd go for strips that are as dark as the very darkest tone in the wood, I'm not keen on the light design strips. Which floor are you going for?

Prefer it without - had pitch pine in last kitchen without border or design strip and that looked good in small space. Have just had Bath stone kardean fitted with design strip but no border and really pleased. I think the borders make it look a little fussy for my taste

Hi. Your kitchen looks very sharp and modern so far. A wooden floor is a good choice to introduce texture and warmth. The combination will be lovely. In my opinion, a border will look old-fashioned. No-border will be more in keeping with the contemporary look of your lovely kitchen.

I would not recommend a border with the wonderful clean lines of the kitchen and using hardwood plank. If you were installing chevron in the rest of the house, I would continue chevron in the kitchen, otherwise keep it simple. Good luck. I am sure it will look stunning.
