Mitch, I haven't really looked at any lately. I have switched to Jet dry from cascade rinse aid and have noticed a world of difference with the cascade platinum pacs.

I switch around. For lightly soiled loads, I use either a Method Smarty tab in pink grapefruit or sometimes an Ecover tab in Citrus.

I also have VERY good results using current, 2016 Cascade Complete powder mixed with STPP!

For huge and tragic loads, I use my beloved and coveted German Somat 10 tabs that are smacked packed with phosphates. Heavenly results, and really the only thing that leaves my glasses smooth and silky and not with that weird, cringe worthy, nails on a chalkboard feel that other DW detergents leave.

Really Mama? The one time I washed baseball caps in the dishwasher and used Cascade powder....the caps came out with ruined colours. They were bleached and faded!! Happy you had good luck!!

Larsi did you use the older bleach based Cascade powder? Maybe the water was toooo hot LOL.

P&G's ingredients page shows Cascade as having two enzymes, which seems pretty standard for most quality detergents. From what I can tell, there's no way of comparing old/new formulas.

I also find it "interesting" that the colored liquid in some of the Pacs is basically just useless colorant. :-/

im still using Cascade Boil out. It really works well in my dishwasher now that I've learned how to dose it properly. I usually have large, full loads of dishes most nights of the week. (I cook- a LOT). I'm not even sure what I'll go back to after this runs out. I may just order more boil out. I also recently tried Aldi"s Reeva pods with surprisingly good results! But I'm like most on here. I try EVERYTHING.

I use one tablespoon of Cascade Complete Powder along with Jet Dry rinse aid and get perfect results. Dishes are clean, smooth and shiny. I also avoid tablets/pacs as they are too powerful for my needs. I keep a few Finish Powerball tabs if I have a tragic load.

I have pretty much migrated over to just one and that is the Cascade Platinum pacs. Consistently great results on all cycles.

@whirlpool_trainee, I actually have access to a few older ingredient disclosures for Cascade before the Phosphate "Ban". I found them by accident a while ago, before P&G completely deleted them. I'd be happy to send you the ones I have... (they are on a older computer, and I'd have to find them) :)

The other quick comment I wanna make.. is, I think the liquid top (keep in mind, only P&G has that here) consists of the "rinse aid" or "metal shine" for the product. It's a surfactant anyway. I think it's Alcohol Alkoxylate, which is a synthetic alcohol derivative, that acts as a wetting agent with the detergent.. to leave the glasses & silverware without water spots.

Interestingly Enough, Cascade Complete Gel contains a lot of it.. but doesn't froth up at all in the machine. Maybe Reckitt-Benckiser should take a hint and look at the formula for there Quantum & Gel Packs.

From what I've noticed.. All of the Cascade Powders and ActionPacs depend heavily on a Polymer to Operate, which I think is a little weak. It's very easy to see why Finish performs so much better in Harder Water because of the heavy use of Citrates (a Builder) instead of relying on Polymers. But.. with those Citrates comes corrosion of glassware and certain machines parts in Soft Water. So.. no one really wins.

Polymers also do mess with Phosphates, in the wash and hinder their ability to work. But that's a story for another post altogether.

yes, all my dishes have a strong soap smell after going through the dishwasher. I noticed the change a few months back.
