I'd start with "Bridal Pink", ask them to mix it at ONE HALF STRENGTH. Paint it on LARGE WHITE SAMPLE and leave a large swath of white on that board. You can always take it to full strength. Pink goes bubble gum very quickly. Start far lighter than you believe you want and ALWAYS put it next to clean white to sample and "see" the color. What looks almost a wisp in the paint store will "grow" on four walls.

Jan is right about pink going bubblegum fast. I wanted just a whisper of pink in my little girls nursery and it still ended up pinker once the walls reflected off each other. The colors I swatched all claimed to be shades of white but were not white on the walls. I used Benjamin Moore opal.

Oh also I used the rh baby petal bed skirt and it was pinker in person than anticipated. Not sure if you can see it well in this photo.

Springy Peach, Peach Kiss, Rose Petal, Ballerina Pink, and Spring Blossom might be in the range of what you're looking for. They're all very pale but without becoming a white. Definitely ask the BM person who helps you to give you a half-strength mix just in case you do want to go lighter.

Thank you, C F! Beautiful nursery! Did you ever try the RH Baby "blush" paint? Was that too pink? I love the color in this room, but it's Pink Ground from Farrow & Ball. My husband prefers BM paint.

I've used both BM and Farrow and Ball paint. Farrow and Ball colors are very beautiful and the quality is at least equal to BM. What I like about FB colors is that they change with the light.

I didn't try RH paint b/c I like BM paint. I tried quite a few shades of pink though. Most of them came out soo much more saturated on the wall than they looked on the paper swatch. I was really glad I didn't go with something more pink because like i said, once the paint was actually on all of the walls (and in my case ceiling due to room architecture), it was truly pink. I used BM Opal in the en suite bathroom as well, and it looks even more pink due to the close proximity of the walls.

I just went and looked through the paint samples I used. Check out SW Intimate White too. I know it's called White but it's Pink. It was more pink if that's what you're going for.

The BM equivalent for pink ground is BM894 Sheer Pink - it's almost a perfect match, if that's what you wanted.

Or warm blush is a slightly lighter version.

Look for a pink with some brown in it. I had this experience with pink many years ago and out of desperation brought home a "remnant" can of paint from Sears -- you know, where people buy too much and bring back the extras. It's pink, no doubt about it, but the brown undertones take it away from the bubble gum side to a more sophisticated color. I like it to this day (I painted some built-in cabinetry with it). And no, I did not use brown/beiges or wood furniture with it. It looks great with white walls and countertop and white furniture, although for my taste I found other colors needed to be a bit more saturated and less pastel. But I was designing for grownups not children.

I do not remember the brand or color. But any paint store should be able to point you in that direction.

The crib and changing table are both espresso in color, since they were my sons'. I'm keeping the furniture for the nursery and hope the dark wood doesn't alter the pink color too much. Our molding is BM White Dove.

Good luck! I don't think you can wrong with any of these colors. We have dark hardwoods and thought it made the pink pop even more in color. Let us know what you end up going with. Happy painting!

Lauren L... I’m trying to decide between sw intimate white and BM pure bliss. It’s the intimate white blush or is it more of beige undertones? I’m tying to decide paint today while I’m in Mexico and my painter is in the states... doh!

@cougirl02... I would definitely say it has more blush undertones. We have loved this shade of pink for our daughters room. It’s the perfect amount of subtle and it’s a shade I know she’ll still love as a teenager.

Hi @rosarose4, when we painted the room with Intimate White, we used full strength. I will try to take a picture tonight of the room with accurate lighting to show you all what it looks like.

Would LOVE to see a photo!!! Strongly considering for a 2 yo girl, but want it to be light enough, and more "ballet slipper pink" thank pink pink! Want just a whisper of pink.

PJ.... here are a couple of pictures from our 9 year old's room. This is SW Intimate White. I wish I'd had better lighting when I took these but hopefully it gives some idea. You can compare the walls to the pink rug that's under her vanity. It is slightly more pink in person. But it's very subtle. We are so happy with this paint color and we've had it in her room for almost 2 years now and never get tired of it.

Pj intimate white is so good! We are still building so the rooms aren’t finished but it turned out awesome. One is north facing and one is west.

I am thinking of using Intimate Pink for my 9 year old daughter's room. It will be decorated with gray, blush, black, white and gold colors. Do you think the Intimate Pink will go well? I'm looking for the perfect pale pink blush color. I don't want it to be too pink. Thanks.

adele17cat it's best to start your own thread with pictures of anything that will be in the room e.g. the floor, bedding, curtains. What company makes Intimate Pink? I can't find it.

Check out SW Intimate White or BM Pink Essence ...both are the most perfect pale pink!

Our contractor uses BM Regal paint to match SW intimate white color. I love the result so much.
