Nice rug! I would normally say go with a neutral for the sofa since it can be such an investment that you have for a long time. But since the walls are already beige, maybe try the sofa in the light blue/grey tone of the rug. Then use navy and mettalics for accents.

I think you could use the taupe from the rug, so the rug remains the star of the room. If you want more drama, the deep grayish blue could be also be beautiful. Choose the sofa first before you decide on the coffee or end tables. You may want a glass coffee table.

Depends on how brave you are! What a gorgeous rug. I would love cobalt blue velvet sofa even in a contemporary kind of look. Some gold and fusion accents. I will post some ideas.

I have a "vision" for this room that is rather eclectic but I think you could pull this look off with the right pieces. Such a gorgeous rug! Here is a mock up of some ideas.

A blue velvet "tuxedo" sofa. Some pillows that draw out the brighter colors of fusia, a gold and glass coffee table so the rug "shines" through, and couple of chairs in the soft whites with the dark wood legs and arms, etc., an interesting unexpected chandelier, and a contemporary piece of art that also picks up the colors of the rug. I think I might paint the wall behind the sofa and artwork a dark blue as well. Enjoy!

Wow for a moment had to make sure I hadn't posted this ;) I have a VERY similar rug in my entrance room. For now I've been using my white linen sofa and arm chair in that room with navy/fuschia/orange accents. Don't love the white though...so my advice is not too much white. My furniture is slipcovered so have some flexibility but before I pull the trigger on new slipcovers I have the same question! Will be following these replies! Maybe navy...

Thank you so much everyone! Great ideas! Don't really have a theme for rest of the house (new house) but I love the antique shabby chic look so may be going with that. I have a farmhouse table that I will pair some nice formal chairs with for the dining room.
