Rug and artwork over the sofa would be my suggestions.

First impressions are lack of color and the wrong scale for the mirror and the chandelier. The chandelier looks too small for the room (add length and width of room and convert to inches) and is dwarfed by the mirror.

A beauitful rug, doesn’t have to be wildly colorful, will warm up the space. (Click on the rug to see it on a floor…much prettier that what links.)

I would consider a coffee table or ottoman, floor/table lamp(s), art work, rug. I think if you want to stick with tone-on-tone (which I love) then you need to add interest through adding different textures or patterns.

A nice neutral rug and a coffee table might really help your room come together. Below is a design project of ours to help with ideas.

Have you considered hanging the mirror over the sofa? It appears that the opening into the room is looking at the fireplace and the chandelier is competing with the mirror. A soft painting above the fireplace would introduce a bit of color and let the chandelier shine. Lamp on the table between the chairs- move the chairs closer to the table and a bit angled. Floor lamp on this side of the sofa. Two identical consoles tables flanking the fireplace. Might not have enough room for a small coffee table? If you don't, I'd move the sofa more into the room and a bit away from the wall.

Should we assume that there is not enough room to put the sofa facing the fireplace?
