I'd go with wide california shutters on the window that could easily be tilted when privacy is needed.

What a shame that would be to cover that beautiful window with shutters. I love the idea of a roman blind , as for fabric why not check out the sunbrella fabrics for interiors to see what you can find in the right colors, that fabric will stand up well in a bathroom. Art on the other hand is best chosen because you love it rather than because it goes with the decor , I like Art.com for a good selection if you are not interested in originals.

Bottom up shades

I like your style description -- romantic, transitional, glam and sometimes a touch industrial -- it sounds like you keep your options open to find what you like, which is especially important when it comes to artwork.
