Sharon, our whole winter has pretty much been a lamb, hasn't it?

I will keep hand-piecing blocks that came from my Mom's house, and doing the PT on my shoulder. Maybe by April I'll be able to sew at the machine again!

We have been spoiled with lovely weather lately. I am sure winter is just waiting to give us a real surprise.

I started a new project this week and hope to get it to the finished top stage so it can join the three others waiting to be completed. Maybe I will set this as my March goal.

Cold is finally breaking up and I can spend more time upright instead of in bed. It was a doozy!

Tennessee came in like a lion with all the bad storms yesterday. I am thankful for the warmer weather :-)

I have my Sewn Seeds quilt on the long arm. I hope I can get started on that?? I also have 2 t-shirt quilts I need to get started on. I've not made one of them before, so I'll be back with advice on that! I'd like to get them laid out so I can get the stabilizer on them. I don't think it will take long if I can just get started on it.

I do have a cute story to share.....

There is a young guy (28) that exercises with us (community gym) in the mornings. He has a 1 yr old little boy and wanted to create a daddy-style "tactical" fanny pack to replace the diaper bag when they go out. I got him started on how to create a pattern and basic cutting and sewing techniques. I want you to know, he has taken off on this and you wouldn't believe how well he's done!!! He even bought his own sewing machine and dreams of sewing in his sleep!! He commented the other day that he wanted to stay home from work and sew! My boyfriend commented that he hears that from me all the time :-)

The wheater her is crazy. Snow showers today, 22 tonight and 63 in a few days.....up and down every few days.

I am trying to finish up three UFO's ASAP. I can't wait to have them done and post theml Then I tell myself I am going to put aside the quilting and start painting various rooms, but I'm already thinking about the next quilt. No self control here.

One more day of March! We're supposed to have rain......I'll believe it when I see it. I completed Bonnie's mystery quilt to the 'top' stage, so that's done. I worked on it a lot during my recovery so it's far from anywhere near having all the points, but as long as you're on that horse galloping by, it'll be ok. lol

I've decided the layout for all the scrappy mostly 2 1/2" strips sewn into 12 1/2" blocks, so that's crossed off my list. I think I have enough of them for 2 lap size donation quilts which will be on my April goal list. Did y'all have a good month?

I haven't done much at all this month. My shoulder is still pretty stiff and sore, but I am able to do quite a lot - I'm just not motivated to do anything. I really need to break out of this inertia.

My goal to finish some tops was partly reached. My machine went to the shop so I couldn't quilt but I did get 5 tops sandwiched and ready. And while waiting to do that, I have been trying to empty the 2 1/2" bin by sewing two patches, then to fours. I realized that maybe I shouldnt have cut all my scraps into those squares but left some as 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 logs. That might have been a useful size. The bin will never be empty.
