pocket door cabinets are more complex types of cabinets. Depending on your cabinets from ikea im not sure to tell you how you can go about and doing it.

in order to make a pocket door that will actually work you will need the doors to be smaller in width and height so they can actually slide into the cabinet. the excess gaps you will have must have filler pieces, same color as your doors.

Also their is special hardware you must purchase.

That will be a little difficult... first how wide and deep is the cabinet? There is a limit to how far the doors can go in. Second - can you get custom sized doors? The ikea cabinet door lay over the edge of the cabinet box so they cannot be used to go "inside" the cabinet box. The look of the cabinet will be different because of how the doors need to be mounted to the pocket door hardware. You will also lose inside storage because you will need to build that inner shelving area about 2" smaller than the inside of the box on each side so there is a place for the doors to go into. This is not a simple job - I would recommend a carpenter assuming you can find the proper size doors....You may want to check with Ikea and see if they offer that sort of cabinet and try to change it out....
