PLEASE HELP!! In order to have our fixture box centered on the slider, we needed to build this hideous box so we can have it land in the right spot. There is a beam smack in the middle, and the crease is actually the middle point. I know the only other option here is to mount the box off center and swag the chandelier chain (if we take this box down). My question is what is another design option if we have to keep this box? It's such a nice ceiling, and now I feel like my eye goes right to it and its like a pimple on someones face. My husband has to go to our shore house THIS SATURDAY to rectify it because we are ready for spackle. Am I over thinking it? Should we leave it? Make it smaller? i'd love for it to be less obvious.
