Need help choosing a paint for family room. I am using SW Repose Grey for kitchen and Hallway. Kitchen looks into family room so I am thinking a lighter grey for that room. Recommendations

Hi jocko97, thanks so much for your inquiry! Repose Gray is definitely a difficult color to work with because Sherwin Williams has many grey tones that come in a similar shade as Repose Grey, but the two colors that we would recommend you take a look at are SW 9165 Gossamer Veil and SW 9166 Drift of Mist. Keep in mind that paint colors will appear different in different lighting, but we feel that Repose Gray has a warm tone to it and would be complimented by Gossamer Veil and Drift of Mist.

Hope this helps, and best of luck on your project!

Hi there! We’re in a similar situation. Using Newburyport blue for the dining room and Stonington Gray in the adjacent living room. But the living room opens into a 2 story foyer that doesn’t get much natural sunlight. Any recommendations on BJ colors we could use? I tempted to do white dove floor to ceiling to brighten up the dull foyer / entry.

Thanks for asking @Ani R! We used BM White Dove OC-17 on the perimeter cabinets and BM Van Deusen Blue HC-156 on the island...both in a satin enameled finish.

    Hope this helps!

Could you share the white subway tile that you paired with the BM White Dove?

Of course! The subway tile we used is 3" x 6" Sonoma Square Edge in Super White.

Hi! @Martha O'Hara Interiors, your work is absolutely stunning!! I was wondering if you would be so kind and could help me out in regards to the backsplash tile used in this project? I've scowered the Sonoma website and I haven't been able to find the color Super White. I realize this post is almost from 4 years ago and the company possibly changed the names of colors of their tiles. I just wanted to confirm that the tile in this post is indeed Super White. The Sonoma website shows Pure White, Alpine Snow and Blanco. I'd like to coordinate it with BM White Dove cabinets. Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you for your time!! ~Mary

Hello @Mary, thanks for asking! It looks like they no longer have a "Super White" option. You may think about looking into their "Pure White Glossy" option instead: https://sonomatilemakers.com/product/pure-3x6/

    Hope this helps!
