I am trying to pick a backsplash that will go with black granite counters with brown splotches and White Kitchen cabinets,

I know so many go with white subway but I find the ones I have tried make the cabinets look yellow...

You can also find a smaller subway tile - 2.5" x 6" which is nicer for a kitchen. It is also not so cold looking as the larger subway tiles are.

Your cabinets may have some cream in them. Maybe try off white subway tile. I have found that one white tile is not the same white as another. You can look at different samples at different companies.

I'd look in to a Crema Marfil polished 4x12 or traditional size subway if you have off white cabinets. Keep it simple either way!

Backsplashes can be among the most difficult places to select tile because the sky's the limit! Almost anything can go on a backsplash. One way to approach the daunting array of options is to go for something that offers some contrast with the cabinets, some contrast with the countertop, but that is alway relatively quiet, classic, non-busy. Notice how the paint color you have on the walls gives some contrast with your cabinets and your countertops. That color makes the cabinets and wood trim around the windows stand out as beautiful architectural details. This also takes you out of the endless search for a white tile that will always look right with your cabinets; even if you find a tile that looks like exactly the same white as the cabinets in a certain type of lighting, it will likely look "off" when the light changes.

You could try going with a cream instead of a white, that might help it not look yellow. Or stick with the white, and try getting different lighting. A lot of times it could be that the bulbs you are using are casting yellow. Try LED lights. Do you have under cabinet lighting as well?

    Rubble Tile

I agree, it is a daunting task! I like your idea, just something simple that compliments both. But I am stuck trying to find a colour, seems every colour I try is either to close to the wall colour or is just not right!

    Any colour suggestions or product?

    Thank you!

I agree with the professionals at Rubble Tile; your paint is a wonderful example of a contrasting color.

Now where to find just the right color. My showroom carries two lines of tile that will give you plenty of color options. We are based in SLC, UT, but these lines are sold nation wide by other tile showrooms. I recommend that you look up the websites of Artistic Tile and Encore Ceramics. Both websites will direct you to a local showroom where you can view their products in person.

Good luck, it will be a beautiful kitchen when it is finished!
