Purchased a GE washer from Costco Canada, delivered 22 August. Ran it three times. Grinding noises, missed cycles and, yikes! electric shocks while brushing up against the back double-checking hoses. Immediately contacted Costco for pickup and credit.

Today, after filling out further forms and a 20-minute conversation, Costco says their carrier will call in two to three weeks to arrange a pickup and I won't be credited till they receive it back. (Meanwhile I bought elsewhere--delivered in place in three days.) A month to take back defective merchandise? Very impressed. (BTW, in Toronto, not the bush.)
