Maybe a tree collard

I've decided it's a fiddle leaf fig even though all I can match it to online are small and for indoors - or are those all fake? Interesting the rapid growth and dry surroundings, but also how some leaves close to base have turned brown, mottled and really ugly-sick looking.

Will these leaves all turn brown and fall off with cooler weather? If so, I will understand why this fast-growing tree is not popular here... huge cleanup job.

Maybe the brown leaves are from the wet hurricane month 2 months ago.

That is what came to mind when I first read this, but I did not recall the name, so I couldn't look it up...
