Are these pendants going to provide task lighting, or just a little pizzaz? That affects the question. Can you post pics of any lights you are considering?

I have recessed lights already so i think these pendant lights will be for pizaaz only. Here are what I was thinking of lights but they are too big for my kitchen.

It's hard to tell the true size of that pendant light, but I think those will look great! I don't think they appear too big at all.

For 3 pendants, aim for 10-12" fixtures. For 2 pendants, around 15" fixtures. (I have 3 12" domes on a 9' island -- looks great.) I think your kitchen could use add'l lighting, so I like that what you are considering has both up and down lighting.
