And honestly no! If you go with an off white (try BM Cloud White or SW Toque White) and maybe a textured door (something like the pic here), you can have a really clean look that white brings without being too contemporary!

As for your flooring, we suggest something neutral, maybe a mid beigey brown, not overly busy and go for a nice wide plank, it will help to contrast the more traditional furniture!

Hire a Kitchen Designer. ASAP.

Presumably with air conditioning and little temp/humidity fluctuations you can put in white painted. I've been in that area and noted hickory/maple/oak in the homes. Do what you like but stay with lighter counters and walls. With your furnishings I would do oak floor...oak cabinets but depends on door styles and stain available with the offerings. Not sure if you must stay within their program of choices.... They likely have planning people to help you....can probably show you finished examples.have fun!

Well, you could hire a designer but not really necessary. Not sure what the sectional looks like - but if you take a bit of time to learn about the mission style you should be able to find cabinet doors and flooring in that style or a very similar style - craftsman, Shaker or even some transitional pieces could probably work. Search Houzz photos for mission kitchen, modern mission kitchen, etc. Good luck with your project!

Pure white may be a little too stark for a farmhouse style home. Look into a softer white or cream. A shaker style would be the best too.

As for flooring, you can't go wrong with hardwood, especially in an open concept farmhouse vibe home.
