Get rid of that ugly clock and also those dark blinds drapes that can actually close when needed . Other than that I have no idea what you are doing in this space.

I agree with removing the blinds and clock. If you chose a lovely large piece of art, then curtains that played off a color in the art, you would have a very nice space. Right now it feels like you've used the sepia filter in Instagram. You could keep the blinds if you must have them for privacy/light control. But still add full length panels.

I agree the clock does not belong there. It's not even in style with the room. What do you use that table and two chairs for? I don't like the way the one chair is bumping up close to the filing cabinets (?) behind it. It looks claustrophobic. If you don't have a use for them, get rid of them. Put a whacking wonderufl piece of art on that wall instead. Don't be afraid of empty space, our souls need it as much as we need stuff.

You could use the two chairs backed up against the staircase with a tiny little table between them, if you need to have tete-a-tetes here. (Pse forgive absence of accents. Don't know how to get them on Houzz without going an extremely roundabout way.)

Agreed, you need some art/color in this space. Everything is brown; maybe get a small area rug with some color to compliment whatever art work you decide on for the wall.

If your tutoring is conversational only, then chairs facing each other is fine. If your tutoring uses a workbook or paperwork, wouldn’t 2 chairs side by side or perpendicular work better? I agree the blinds are too dark. The wall clock seems too distracting. Maybe use the timer on your computer if you need to time tutoring session. Since this is also your home office work space, pick wall art and drape fabric that make you feel happy so you enjoy being in the space.

As for your make-up sales, are women trying on make- up samples in this loft at the glass table? Are the 2 suitcases under the window your samples?
